Aaron Lederhose

Aaron Lederhose - Founder

Background
Aaron grew up in a small town in rural Queensland, since a young age he has had a passion for machinery and robotics. Aaron has a background in composites (resins, plastics, fibreglass, carbon fibre) and electronics. He is a private tutor in robotics and his students have competed in Robocup events. Aaron strives for excellence in his students and will provide a great education opportunity.
Aaron founded intRobotics to help schools, teachers, parents and students… and give some knowledge back to the community that has helped him get to where he is today.

Experience
Aaron started working in the citrus industry. He did many different jobs from fruit picking to maintenance and repair work. He has also helped design machinery for sorting and cleaning the fruit. He then moved into the mining sector and did a mixture of jobs from stone cutting to machinery maintenance and repair.
He attended James Cook University in Townsville and completed a Bachelor of Photography. After he finished at university he travelled to Scotland and became a camera technician for a traffic survey company.
With a passion for snowsports and teaching, Aaron started working in the snow and became a qualified snowboarding instructor. Working with students from 5 and up.
After a few years Aaron moved to Brisbane and started an apprenticeship in Polymer processing (composites). For the last few years Aaron has been repairing and restoring high end vehicles (Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus, and Porsche).
While in his different careers, Aaron found that there is an application for robotics in all of them. He saw the need for teaching this subject so that everyone can better understand the simple tasks a robot can do to make our lives easier day to day.

Aaron has been tutoring in robotics since 2012.

Volunteer Work

RoboGals – UQ Chapter

Robogals is an organisation that encourages young women to pursue science and engineering fields. While with Robogals, Aaron taught robotics at schools all around Queensland.

Youth work
Over the years Aaron has helped various schools and organisations with youth work. Aaron is passionate about mentoring the next generation to be the best in their chosen field and help fuel the need for ideas and innovation.

Formula SAE – Race car competition

Building a functional race car is never an easy task. In the three years Aaron was competing, he and the team designed, built, and raced three different cars. Aaron continues to consult with the current team.
